DISCOVER CREDIT CARDS
The Discover Credit card has a long history. From being the first company to offer no annual fees and higher credit limits, to the company that has over 50 million customers and is most common in the U.S.A. Still offering cash backs (5%) and still putting the focus on the consumers rather than the company that "It pays to Discover."
When getting a Discover credit card, it is to your advantage to shop around and contrast and compare like you would any other card.
There is the Discover Platinum card. This credit card has no annual fees. It also has cash back bonuses, 0% balance transfer introductory rate, $50,000 maximum credit line, and select insurance (such as travel, accidental death and auto rental). These features also apply to the Discover Gas card and the Discover Miles card.
But no credit card company is complete without the student credit card. The Discover Student credit card comes with no annual fee as well, but only offers a 0% introductory APR of six months, while the others hold an introductory 0% APR of 12 months. However, the Discover Student Credit card enables easy online access, and payment flexibility. The interest rates range from 10.99% to 22.99%, but the interest rates on cash advances are hard-hitting, and cash advances are not recommended for any card.
The Discover student card is for college students at least 18 years of age, and usually requires no co-signer or any credit history, as it is meant to build credit history.
